The biennial conference Molecular Biology of Fungi of the VAAM Section Biology and Biotechnology of Fungi will be held from 9–11 September 2026, and for the fourth time jointly organized with the GfG “Gen AG Fungal Genetics” of the German Genetics Society in Braunschweig.
First established in 1993, the MBF takes place every two years at different locations across Germany and, since 2019, has been a joint meeting of the GfG “Gen AG Fungal Genetics” and the VAAM Section “Biology and Biotechnology of Fungi”.
The conference aims particularly to support early-career researchers in the field of fungal genetics and to offer them the opportunity to present their work to a broad scientific audience.
