The GfG is strongly committed to supproting and mentoring of early-career researchers at different stages of their academic careers.
To recognize the outstanding doctoral research, the GfG annually awards the prestigious Elisabeth Gateff Prize, endowed with €3,000, for an excellent doctoral dissertations.
Junior research group leaders are supported through the annual workshop “On the Path to a Professorship". This intensive workshop provides practical information and guidance on successfully applying for a university professorship in Germany.
The GfG also awards poster prizes at selected conferences and provides financial support for conference participation.
In addition, experienced members of the GfG are available as mentors to provide advice on academic careers and career development. If you are interested in mentoring, please contact a member of the Board or Advisory Board.
