GfG Symposium “Epigenetics & Chromatin”
From September 24 to 26, 2025, leading experts and early-career researchers in epigenetics and chromatin research gathered at JLU Giessen for an inspiring exchange. The symposium impressed with excellent lectures, lively poster sessions, refreshing flash talks, and an open, dynamic atmosphere.
In addition to geneticists with a scientific focus on classical breeding experiments, on the application and further development of DNA-modifying techniques such as CRISPR-Cas9 or on the establishment and analysis of high-throughput sequencing, researchers with epigenetic approaches and questions also find a home in the GfG.
The GfG (see also “History”) is an open-minded community of scientists that advocates diversity and the freedom of research and teaching, but opposes nationalistic and anti-democratic approaches. We hereby support the corresponding declaration “Science unites” of the mathematical and scientific societies and the VBIO.
